On Sunday, I went by the Rescue
to drop off the paperwork from Sigmund’s trip to the vet. I ran into Karen, our volunteer director. She told me about a puppy that a Petland store relinquished to her employer (a veterinarian) because he was ill. Having trouble kicking a case of kennel cough. A 5-month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel – free to a good home.
I told my mother about him. You know, just in case.
Yesterday, she sent me an e-mail saying that she has a co-worker that might want him. She asked for a picture. After 24 hours of back and forth, I have a picture and this puppy has a new home. They are picking him up this weekend.
Yeah. I know a King Charles puppy is not the most difficult placement. But I feel good about it. The moral of the story, gang, is that this networking stuff works.
